Agashi Maha Tirth, one of the oldest and most sacred Jain temples of the Mumbai region, is all set to witness a once in a lifetime, grandest Anjanshalaka Pratistha Mahotsav on Friday 26 April 2019.
The entire jirnoddhar (reconstruction) of the Jinalaya was done without moving the Main Deity of Eternal Lord Shri Munisuvrat Swami Dada which is 11.5 lac years old. The expansive Jinalaya has a 5-dome architecture with two floors in all. This is the first of its kind reconstruction work of a whole temple, where the Main Deity remained untouched throughout the process.
The unveiling of this marvel (Anjanshalaka Pratistha Mahotsav and Flag-Kalash Pratistha) is happening on 26 April 2019 at the Agashi Maha Tirth Temple in Chalpeth, Virar.
But before that is the traditional auction ceremony (Uchhamani Mahotsav) which is taking place on 17 March 2019 at Seth Motisha Jain Temple, Byculla, Mumbai.
